The Whispers
The kookaburra who laughed at
My entry to this place
He wasn’t laughing at me, but with me
He put a smile upon my face
And the kangaroos who watched me walk
On paths they know so well
Their curious faces and graceful bounds
Welcoming me amongst them, I can tell.
As long as I tread softly through this land
And listen to whispers in the breeze
I’ll find peace within the chaos
Be at one with stars and trees
If I fill myself with all that’s good
And listen with a fine-tuned ear
I hear sound waves to lift me up
It’s all just waiting so close, so near.
