32 YEARS GONE BY……
There goes another year and memories appear like it was yesterday as I revisit my memoir which is getting closer to the point I am happy with.
RISE
Rise with a beginner’s mind
And see what the day will bring
Each cell vibrating in cloud
To hear each other sing

Enter: happy runner
I TRIED
I tried and it worked
I tried and it didn’t work
I tried and was ignored
I tried and was called inspirational

DEAR ME…..
Dear me,
I’m sorry my love for the disconnect
Thank you for the separation
It taught me about resilience
Today I am seeding connection

RUNNING INTO 2025
RUNNING INTO 2025
Moving towards an emotion,
I can't quite identify.
Allured by fulfilment,
Not a passer-by.

Balancing gratitude with advocacy
Strength to you
Strength to me
Cause no harm to self
Or others

Stroke Week 5 - 11 August
In Australia, it’s National Stroke Week (5-11 August).
One person will have a stroke every 19 minutes!
Stroke doesn’t discriminate and can happen to anyone, at any age, at any time (from babies in-utero right through to the elderly).

July - Disability Pride Month
I DID IT ALL FOR YOU
I did it all for you…..
Mistakes, the misadventures,
The successes and the;
“Oh, I’m sorry - did I hurt you?” :-(
You can tell me all your pain.
And I will be your mirror,
To take it all and spin it,
Return to you; your hero.

AWAKENING
Oh my dear one
My beloved wounded and near one
I will not desert you
When you awakened to who you have become

Flow, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, Stillness
Flow, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, Stillness
Grateful to have found a deeper insight into the 5 Rhythms Dance with an Intensive 6 weeks online zoom course, I love a good story with meaning and purpose behind an action. The course gave me a sense of compassion and connection.

Dancing Eye’s - Full Circle
Dancing Eyes - Full Circle
Adding to my list of creativity I’ve begun to sketch, draw and experiment with Visual Arts, a lot of thought going into the first time of holding a piece of charcoal in my hand to feeling free and excited about a blank sheet of paper in front of me.

STANDING STRENGTH
STANDING STRENGTH
A day can bring about me noticing so much - as someone who has been in the thick of The Disability Royal Commission and the NDIS Review I am moving into 2024 feeling like I have contributed as much as I could for the greater good.

This is my voice
THIS IS MY VOICE
This is my voice,
And I will not stray,
From the life that I’ve lived,
Which made it that way.

Changing the pattern
CHANGE THE PATTERN
There’d be a nip
Possibly a tuck
Definitely a flair
And a swirl for good luck

The story is me
SHE
Rabbit holes, so wide you could fall in.
Scratches and blisters and rusty old tin.
Shops in the shed, flat tyres on bikes,
Chooks laying eggs, and going bush hikes.

The Case Study
A CASE OF WHAT?
I heard you read a “case study”
And I wondered a case of what?
Wine or books or chickenpox
Because I’m a person am I not?

30 years later…becoming well.
BECOMING WELL
Have you ever watched a fern leaf
Uncurling in slow motion
Becoming well is a bit like that
But with far more raw emotion
