Public Speaking
Do you need a speaker who delivers moving, engaging content? I have delivered Public Speeches in person and online please contact me with your Public Speaking needs.
On 16th June 2021, I heard Sue Bowden give a presentation at the online Australian Aphasia Association (AAA Conference) called “Holding on to me”. She told the story of her stroke as a young woman, having recently lost her new-born baby. Her life turned upside down in an instant. Sue spoke of suddenly being unable to move, eat or communicate, unable to share her fears, her questions, and her recent grief. Her story was gripping, devastating and so sad. But she was able to demonstrate her ability to undertake rehabilitation, to be resilient and to find creative ways to move forward while helping others and she shares how she held on to who she was and who she wanted to be despite the huge trauma she has experienced.
It was clear from the “chat’’ that followed this presentation that people were moved, touched and grateful to hear Sue’s story. On behalf of the AAA, I thank Sue for stepping forward to talk to others who are affected by stroke and who find communication difficult. She is an engaging, creative, and thoughtful speaker and I wish her all the best with her work assisting people who have suffered trauma.
